The Personal Injury Claims Procedure
Some firms act less than professionally when it comes to personal injury claims. Adams is different. The diagram below shows how we act with honesty, professionalism and speed, should we go ahead with your claim.

| Client sends an enquiry to Adams Solicitors or calls us on 0800 664 664. | ||

| We discuss the details with you in confidence and judge whether there is a claim to pursue. | ||

||
| If the case is genuine, we start work. | ||

||
| Your solicitor will send the defendant a Letter of Claim, stating that you intend to claim for the Injuries caused by their fault. | ||

||
| Your solicitor will instruct a medical expert to assess your injuries. | ||
|
||
| Your solicitor will prepare a Schedule of Losses listing all the financial losses you wish to claim for. | ||
|
||
| Your solicitor will send the Schedule of Losses to the other side, asking them to pay. | ||

Claim Accepted In this case, the Defendant would accept responsibility and your solicitor will negotiate with the defendant about your compensation amount. Your claim is settled and you are paid your compensation and your solicitors costs. In most cases, Adams will attempt to settle your case out of court in this manner. |
Claim Disputed In this scenario, the defendant would dispute your claim. The case goes to Court if agreement cannot be reached. |

Case Won If the case is won, you will receive 100% compensation. The amount and solicitors costs is agreed and fixed by the Court. |
Case Lost If the case is not won, there is no fee to pay and you will not have to pay costs. |
